This is absolutely miraculous, to a nerdy journalist/Utah history lovers mind. Last evening while visiting Juniors, I was lucky enough to have an involved conversation with Greg Thompson, Dean of the University of Utahs Marriott Library for Special Collections. He has poured his soul into a project everyone should know about--the digital image archives of every single newspaper printed in the state of Utah from their inceptions to the present. Im so geeked out!! This gives me access to the digital images for every single article I ever wrote for The Tooele Transcript-Bulletin; more impressively, it gives me access to the articles my dad wrote in the 70s when he was the Sports Editor for the Universitys The Daily Utah Chronicle. In other words, stuff I never thought Id see. In addition, obviously, I can peruse all of Utahs nearly 300 papers that have existed over the states history for any and all articles of historical topics I adore, like Porter Rockwell, Joe Hill, and other related news and topics. Everything is there!!!! Everybody should be made aware of this precious resource. Visit, pick a newspaper, type in a key word or date, and immerse yourself.
