This is absurd. COnverting to islam shouldnt have to be done together with others. Its something you do, between you and allah. and this reminds me of a story a viewer here in Ottawa told me about. Because he is caucasian (white) canadian no one believed he converted to islam even to the point that he wanted to marry a sister and her parents asked for proof or documentation from the mosque that he converted. Why should they have to be subject to that? You dont see those born into Muslim families walking around with proof or documentation. Islam should not be complicated. And i do understand his fear and where he is coming from, ever since the Ottawa Shooting (apparently by a convert), and the canadian convert from Ottawa who joined Isis, 15-20 men converted to islam. but maybe they began to see how the media is falsely portraying islam and went to research it on their own and found their path.. Many westerns are starting to realise these are lies, and that Isis is not islamic and that islam is AGAINST violence and terrorism, and so they read the Quran...Islam has become the fastest growing religion in the world, you dont think those against it dont feel threatened and want to tarnish our image? Think about it. when someone doesnt like you and doesnt want others to like you, they talk trash in hopes of others not finding you so appealing. Converts need more support than anything. They need to be given real information, as the quran itself to see for themselves these are lies. They need to be helped not insulted for not knowing any better. And many converts lose their friends and family due to islamophobia. we need to show them how muslims should be by giving them support and encouraging them.. it makes me so sad to see what has become of our beloved religion...
