This is an amazing set and equally amazing showmanship. But theres only one problem here… the price. In order to do it like this, youre looking at roughly a five figure investment. On top of the fact that most clubs dont invest that much in their equipment, most clubs cant (or wont) even offer DJs more than $200 to play. The way our industry is operating right now, whom outside of the financially elite can invest this much money into doing a set? Thats why vinyl DJs are still relevant, because it doesnt cost $10000 to get two Technic 1200s, a battle scratch mixer and some good needles. The DJ culture that we all know & love was built on the backs and labor of poor people who didnt have regular access to musical instruments. When only the financial elite can afford to do something, the culture is stripped of its roots and becomes nothing more than a corporately driven cash cow to milk until it goes dry. I love the new technology. But if its not affordable it wont last.
