This is an early morning free write Thank you Jacqueline Fuller Albert Okay, politically the republicans are in charge. What does that mean? Am I caught up in a dream? Veterans will still hold some power because of the political implications and the party’s espoused beliefs no matter what the math says. An opportunity to drive down the cost of health care for everyone while maintaining even a higher standard of excellence and efficiency was possibly squandered. I am not an economist and do not understand how money really works but in my imagination there are only so many resources. I am thinking back now about one of the many definitions of economics (paraphrasing) that says it is the decision making process under conditions of scarcity. If one small group of people are getting richer and richer how can there possibly be more resources for the ones who did not keep up. I am not considering right now why they did not keep up but for one reason or another they did not. Those with power have an incredible advantage once they have begun their momentum. That is the goal of capitalism I think. For the individual to fight for what he or she can get and when you got it it’s yours you earned it but the balance is held because the playing field is even.
