This is an edited repost - thanks Diane for catching my math blunder ! This is for all of my teacher friends, as others will probably not appreciate the subtle implications of my not-too-funny humor. Finally "got" my "new" teaching certificate from RIDE. My application and check were mailed 3/31. Got an e-mail Friday that stated the links (EPSS) to follow to access and "print" my certificate, as they no longer mail them. It was issued 3/15/13; it took 4 months for them to notify me!! I think RIDE needs an EPSS evaluation system in place. I could offer some "evidence" proving their lack of proficiency. By the way, RIDE excluded my ESL Content Area Lifetime endorsement for the reason that it is deemed a not necessary content area. Duh, the nine ESL and ESL/SPED courses I took applied to each of my three areas of certification. I guess I out outlived my lifetime on that one! Hmm, if I had gotten the M.Ed. in ESL/SPED, would that have also gone by the way?!? It is what it is!!
