This is an example, one among THOUSANDS, why and how Ukraine is not ready for Union with West. This one about HIGH END optics. But it is the same way for space rockets made in Ukraine, aircraft made in Kiev, helicopter engines made for Russia EXCLUSIVELY in Ukraine, etc, etc, etc.... It is only in demand in the East. Technologies EXTREMELY sophisticated, but useless for the West... It is either keep cooperating with the East or face INEVITABLE annihilation of vast economy sectors... IDIOTIC aspect of it all: NOBODY asked to chose, but extreme nationalists!!! Russia and even damned Yanukovitch were offering multiple variants of keeping BOTH vectors in politics.
