***This is an important message from the RPPD*** "Residents and Commuters, On June 17th, 2013 New Jersey American Water Company will be starting a Major Water Main replacement project on West Westfield Avenue (Rt. 28). This construction will be done in the Westbound lanes starting at Faitoute Avenue and working Eastward to Galloping Hill Road. The construction will be conducted at nighttime during the hours of 7PM to 6 AM. During this construction there will be NO PARKING signs posted for certain areas from 7 PM to 6 AM. There will also be lane closures throughout the entire construction project. There will be message boards posted on each end of the construction for traffic East and West Bound. We ask that all residents please follow the message boards and NO PARKING signs as well as Police Officers directions during construction times. Furthermore, there will be a transfer of Westbound traffic into the Eastbound lanes during certain times and days of this construction. Again, we ask that all residents that are affected by this construction project to abide by all directions of Officers and signage that applies. Allow extra time for travel in the area during construction as there will be heavy machinery and workers in the roadway.
