This is an incident that occured with Patundas mother, i think in 1950. Patundas family were very old devotees of Ma and Patunda lives in Kankhal ashram- his room was originally Shankaracharyas and Ma had given instructions that later it should be given to Patunda. He is the one who is doing the Archives work. His mother was going to Vrindavan to meet Ma by train and that too alone. Those days the trains were main lines and small guage trains. His father gave instructions to his mother not to get down at Vrindavan station because from there it was not the main line but connecting were small gauge trains and besides that there was no conveyance available there. Those days there were only Tongas available, no rickshaws. She was told to get down at Mathura and from there take a tonga and go to the ashram. In any case the father said that the train may not stop at Vrindavan and if it did she should not get down there. The mother after boarding the train went off to sleep and slept till this small station of Vrindavan arrived and the train stopped there! She had just got up from her sleep and read the board of Vrindavan and got down with her luggage!! Only after the train took off did she realize that it was the wrong station!! She was now very nervous, it was late evening, there was not a soul there to help her with anything!!! She managed to get her luggage out on the road which was just a dirt road, no transport was available since it was a very small village!! She was very scared!! Then she saw some 2-3 tall men approaching her with sticks in their hands and that scared her more!! Suddenly from nowhere a Rickshaw came and stood in front of her and asked her what the problem was!! ( mind you, there were no rickshaws at that time!!) She told the fellow who was just 16-17 years old and was dark in complexion!!! ( i am sure you know who i am talking about!!!) He told her to get in and he would take her to the ashram! In the rickshaw she was nervous and did not know where he was taking her-- the ashram was about 10 to12 kilometers away from the station!!! The boy went on giving her sideway glances and saying Dont worry Mother! Finally she reached and ran to Mas room but suddenly she remembered, she had forgotten to pay the rickshaw fellow so she went back... But there was no rickshaw!!!!! And no boy!!!! She wondered and went to Ma---- Ma saw her and said So, you have come!! Lets say Gopal Krishna Bhagawan ki Jai!! Everything is Ma!! Jai Ma.
