This is an opponent that our school has not beaten in over 6 years. We were told they are toughest in their district. Well as you read the Game Summary Alert below you will see all things are possible to those who believe. School Name: Boswell High School Sport / Level: Football(M) / 9th grade Team: Boswell Freshman Blue Opponent: Aledo Date / Time: 10/24/2013 / 7:00 PM Score: Boswell Freshman Blue - 26 / Aledo - 21 Summary Details: Greek mythology tells of an epic battle which raged many years before man walked Earth in which the Titans battled the Olympians for control of Mount Olympus. Thousands of years later that legendary melee, the Titonomachy, was replayed with Pioneer Stadium serving as Mont Olympus as the Aledo Bearcats and Boswell Pioneers engaged in an epic clash which would have left Thamyris himself speechless. The Pioneers landed the first blow as they quickly marched down the field scoring on a run by Dejon Holland. The Bearcats not to be outdone responded with a touchdown of their own and took the lead with an extra point. Back and forth the combatants went. Touchdown for touchdown tackle for bone crushing tackle. As the awe-inspiring showdown reached its final crescendo the Bearcats seemed to gain the upper hand taking a one point lead with only 56 seconds remaining but with the will of the Olympians the Pioneers refused to concede defeat. A long kickoff return by Jared Webster set the Pioneers up for their penultimate triumph as Cole Hays found Webster with a strike which would have pleased Zeus himself to put the Pioneers ahead by 5 with 26 seconds left. The Bearcats were dazed but not done as they proceeded to try and stage a ferocious rally but it was not meant to be. The Boswell defense which as unit had kept Aledo bottled up most the night once more rose to the challenge. The final seconds ticked off the clock and the legendary battle came to a close with Boswell raising their arms in victory. It was an inspiring total effort from every member of what more resembled a family rather than a team which will no doubt live in the annals of antiquity.
