This is beautiful. My friend Doug EFresh Corrigan, turns the number Pi into music. Ive heard people do this before, but this is the most beautiful version Ive heard. His description is below. (Music starts about halfway through.) I made a video showing the results of my experimentation of turning the number Pi into music. (I explain this in the intro of the video) I took Pi, re-represented it in base 7 to map the digits to a 7 pitch diatonic scale, and then mapped those digits to the Key of Fm. I used those pitches as the base of the harmonic progression and added in some creative overtones, progressions, and transitions between the harmonic points. It kind of surprised me that there is sort of musical beauty and elegance to the progression that cant be explained by random chance alone, so there is some structure to the relation of the digits of Pi, although a repeating pattern has never been identified in its infinite irrational sequence. Im interested in hearing your thoughts about what you make of it.
