This is bullshit. Genetic modification is not trial and error selection of traits preferred by humans over the course of several generations! Selective breeding for positive mutations, whether plant or animal, always arises within the DNA/RNA of the single species which the human agent wishes improved. Gregor Mendel conducted his experiments on genetics with peas. Only peas. He did not attempt to introduce carrot genes. Genetic modification is the insertion of genetic material, often from a wholly different organism, into a crop plant primarily so our friends the agribusinessmen can spray RoundUp to their hearts content!
