This is for SK Telecom (mobile) customers mostly in Seoul about their compensation for last weeks temporary blackout last Thursday. Those using SKT for their mobile services in the Seoul area would remember the six or so hour long communication blackout last Thursday (20th), made by a technical glitch in the system that affected up to 5.6 million people. SKT made an official apology in a press conference, and promised monetary compensation for all customers, some of which includes those not affected by the blackout. SKT official policy states a minimum of six times compensation (of base fees) for downtimes of three hours or more where the customer is not at fault, the compensation for this particular blackout is announced to be ten times. All customers will have the compensation amount automatically deducted from their next months billing. They opened a dedicated website https://cs.sktelecom/ yesterday for this matter. If you want to know how much youre being compensated, click the little red button saying 조회하기, then there will be a Foreigner 고객 option. Just to give you guys a heads up.. most people wont receive a substantial amount... but if you are curious like most of our staff check out and the link and follow the instructions above in this paragraph..
