This is for all my fellow September born friends....I had the pleasure of paddling the Nantahala Saturday with Troop 7....it brought back many great memories of this time of year and the first trip I took down that river in 1990 with a group from Berry college....the river is still basically the same but there are many mores houses and more commercialization now which is sad....it was such a beautiful untouched piece of earth back then...change is inevitable but some things should be left untouched....I love this time of year as the nights start to cool off, football season goes into high gear and the leaves begin to change and fall....many of us are getting into the autumn or fall of our lives....some things dont work as good as they used to but we are still active and going on with our lives....things change as the leaves do, we go from raising our kids to babysitting grand kids or maybe great grand kids....we start knowing more people in the obituaries than we do in the wedding or birth sections of the papers....we go from staying up all night on purpose to staying up all night wishing we could fall asleep....life throws us many curve balls but we have to stay in there and keep swinging...the only thing we will leave behind are our memories that we have made with people...they may be good or bad memories....it is up to us what we do and how we treat people so get out there and make happy memories so that one day someone will say, I will never forget the time....
