This is for everyone who has a loved one under medical care. You - TopicsExpress

This is for everyone who has a loved one under medical care. You have to ask questions and keep asking questions until you get a good answer. We kept asking about indigos pain, we thought the pain ball wasnt working, could it be blocked, could it be flushed? Could a clot have formed on tip? If not, why the extreme pain? Kept getting runaround. Finally, got answers, instead of being assured again and again everything was ok. We kept saying it was not ok. So, they took it out, it could not be flushed, and sure enough there was blockage, a clot had formed and no pain med was flowing into leg. So, now they will adjust and increase oral pain meds. Now, through all this, we were lovely, just firm, very firm, not backing down. But I tell you I just wanted to scream. This poor kid had been in excruciating pain unnecessarily. This is back to past and Indys stroke all over again. There is more to the story which I will share at another time. I have to go tear my hair out by the roots. Obviously, I am no longer relieved, as I know I will have to keep on top of things with Indy and second guess and research everything again.
