This is for my darling daughter...thanks for the memories tonight. When she was a freshman in college she worked for WRUS radio the sister station of the WBVR. Then the BVR was one of the top stations. Charlie Daniels was coming to the BVR one night so I packed up my plate of Baklava and away I went. Was I ever excited...needless my daughter told me I could not go in there and act like an idiot...he was just a person!!! Now she was referring to the Charlie Daniels ! Havent yet figured out what she was talking about. We got in there...me all smiles trying to keep from peeing in my pants and in comes one of the other girls that worked there...in worse shape than I was in....very excited. She kept saying....thats Charlie Daniels. When he finished the interview he loaded up my plate of Baklava and headed out!! The next time we saw him was at WKU and another plate of Baklava got us backstage!! Course I fell to mention that his bus driver also ask Holly out and he was the one that took us back stage.the bus driver was Ernest Tubbs nephew. What memories does for this heart of mine.
