This is for the friends that I met through Dogs Deserve Better: I cant believe I am having to do this. The DDB Supporters page has had something negative and untruthful to say about me at least once a week. The worst part is that they have blocked me, not giving me the common courtesy to set their lies straight. I have not posted on their page since February yet they continue to come after me. And why? Because I decided I didnt want to be part of their page any more. I decided that the animals must come before personal feelings about a person. I decided that too much of my energy was being put into FB fighting and too less energy was being put into helping animals. They have put their own spin on my decision to not fight with Tamira Thayne anymore in order to drive a wedge between me and you. They have even further gone to say that I have minimized your negative experiences with DDB when I embraced them. I you feel I have done so, please let me know. I consider you dear friends. We have been through a lot together. I want us to not only remain friends but partners in rescue. I NEVER embraced DDB. Tami and I will never be friends, too much water under that bridge. But because we both live in Virginia, are both animal rescuers, our paths will inevitably cross, and we have to try to get along, for the sake of the animals. I have never minimized your negative experiences with DDB nor would I ever. After that page blocked me and subsequently began bad mouthing me, I noticed that many of stopped commenting. If you distanced yourself from that page because of that, thank you. This page is trying to win your support by pitting you against me. By pitting friends against friends and rescuers against rescuers. I think that is pathetic and cheap way to get supporters. I contacted the page last week with a respectful plea to please stop posting lies about me. I told them the truth about my relationship with DDB (just like I did above) and the truth about the dogs in the box. As you see they have no intention of posting it, perhaps because it would prove them to be liars and vindictive ones at that. Lastly, as far as the flier I made and posted which has caused quite a stir, it was on my page for about an hour. The only people that have reposted it are the people whos names were mentioned which seems counterproductive....they are offended by it yet they are the ones who keep posting it. I made that flier to name and shame those who have been chasing me around FB for months, harassing me, harassing my family, threatening my dogs, etc. I have been relatively quiet, trying not to engage these people, so when I finally stand up for myself they act like the victims. Lastly, this page has regularly criticized how me and my team have handled the dogs in the box ONLY because DDB was briefly involved 5 months ago. If it were the other way around, if DDB had assisted GoR I would bet my life they would be praising my group and trashing GoR. Nonetheless, I am about the dogs. My alliances are with animals, not for or against people. I make decisions that is the best interest of the animals not in the best interest of my friends or enemies. I hope you all understand that and know that I will always consider you top notch animal rescuers and friends. I will stand behind you and support you and am here if you ever need me.
