This is from a column in the paper today. The woman writer was commenting on some aspects of Sheryl Sandbergs Lean In and the corresponding campaign called Ban Bossy, which refers to the claim that little boys are called leaders, and little girls who exhibit the same behavior are called bossy. I found this paragraph well worded, true, and true, and SO TRUE. There are tons of hurdles female leaders must leap, all while being thin, pleasing to the eyes of men (but not so much as you intimidate women), perfect mothers, fashion conscious, hyper competent, ageless and never angry. And yes, they also have to endure criticism, prejudice and unpleasant things said about them.
