This is from my cousin, Todd Caissie Hi everyone. My dad is the founder and director of a WWII Internment Camp museum in Minto, Canada, one of only 5 such museums in all of North America. I am helping him with the museum’s social media presence and hope you can look at our new Facebook page! This is an important part of Canada and the U.S.’s negative heritage associated with WWII and it is important that this part of our history is not relegated to an afterthought, or worse forgotten. Hopefully you can “like” and follow our page. The museum has over 600 artifacts so we will be adding photographs and detailed object descriptions on an ongoing basis. Several important individuals were incarcerated in the camp including the mayor of Montreal at the time and the eventual inventor of waterproof plywood. Once we have a reasonable number of followers-our goal is 1,000 by the new year- we will have a regular “guess what this is?” image game for fun. This is a small non-profit museum which is, obviously, near and dear to my heart, so please spread the word and check out our facebook page from time to time. Best, Todd Caissie
