This is from one of Pauls letters to the church. be of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Also consider that this was THE church in Philippi...imagine the diversity. There wasnt a church on every corner from which to choose to match YOUR theology. Imagine if all the churches in Atlanta combined. Do you think it is possible to be of the same mind and love? How is a Southern Baptist fundamentalist, a gay Methodist preacher, a scholar, an evolutionist, a die-hard Republican, a die-hard Democrat, a activist, a rich business person, and poor homeless person, a person who is pro-choice, and a person who is pro-life supposed to be of one mind and one Spirit? This is my sermon for tomorrow. What do you think the word is that makes this possible (besides Jesus)?
