This is going to be short as we are mentally and physically drained. Alex is still on the ventilator. They have now also placed an NG tube to deliver feeds and certain medications. She is heavily sedated. From what we were told by the nurse the x-ray taken this afternoon shows the pneumonia is worse today than yesterday. It is hard to tell just how bad she is because of being vented and the machine is breathing for her. There is so much more that I want to say but have been asked to refrain from that at this time. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the outpour of love and support. It is truly the only thing sustaining us at this moment. Other than that, we are feeling defeated, betrayed, disgusted, overwhelmed...well, you get the picture.
