This is how my FIR for a lost mobile got filed: I was at a police station today morning, to file an FIR for my mothers lost phone. After waiting for about half an hour,I was asked to submit an application stating the details. I had it ready and gave it to the policeman. He showed the paper to his senior sitting on the table with him and told him in marathi that the paper size was small. I had to submit it on a bigger size sheet. I agreed and reached to find one in my bag. The senior and this policeman on seeing me searching for a bigger paper in my bag, offered me an A4 size blank paper. I wrote the exact same letter and handed it to them. After filing the FIR, which took about 7-8 minutes, I thanked and began to leave. I was called back by these two policemen. Shocked to hear what came next. The policeman who was writing my complain, reached out to the paper pack near the desk his senior was sitting at. He pointed towards it and said, Yeh company ka naam dikh ra hai? Sundaram. Iska ek A4 size ka same bundle le aana. Zarurat hai.Fatafat le aana.baaju mein dukaan hai. (In English: Do you see this company name? Sundaram. Get me one A4 size bundle of the same.We need it.Get it fast. The shop is close by. Had to go and purchase a set of 100 blank A4 size papers for Rs.100, since I wasnt sure about the whole FIR process and feared that they would cancel my complain. I went back, gifted it to them and left. Atleast my complain got filed somehow. #MumbaiPolice
