This is it, guys.... Ive been trying to do this for days now and finally got the chance. This is my video for the 2014 #IceBucketChallenge fundraiser for the ALS Association, an organization that spreads awareness about amyolateral sclerosis (a.k.a. Lou Gehrigs disease) and conducts research for a cure to this disease, which causes progressive motor neuron deterioration (basically, a loss of ability to move ones muscles, which results in loss of mobility, speech, and in most cases, death). As I say in the video, if youre challenged then you have a choice of donating $100 to the ALSA (alsa.org/) or dumping a bucket of icewater onto yourself. (Or you can be lame and not do either.... I guess you can share this post or someone elses to spread awareness.) Although I was unable to follow this rule, youre also technically supposed to accept the challenge within 24 hours of its being sent to you. I decided to donate ($35, not $100 \:) as well as make this video. Enjoy. Btw, I was challenged by Stuart James Tindle (although I was planning to do it anyway), and I challenge Joanna Dunegan, Jason Sartin, William Neff, Dee Blenk Ray, Charles Thor Kagogo, Sam Clark, Josh Rovey, Becky Luehrs Bruton, Kayla Jones, Theron Sturgess, Deja Duelmaster Hamilton, Erin Quinn, Karen Franklin, Dylan Ray, Stephen Burnell, Jim McManis, and anyone else who wants to do this. I know some of you have already been challenged, and Im sorry if I havent seen you do it yet. I know some of you in my list have already done it (thanks for what youve done) or dont really want to do it (in which case I understand ... so you should share this post or the link to the ALSAs website). The purpose of this is to get publicity for the cause and have fun. Good luck, guys, and Ill be watching to see who does it. ;) - N.S.
