This is just another example of the way that some view working class people. Remember that they honestly (albeit the ONLY honest thing about them) believe that they are our betters by virtue of their income! They have the idea that if you are underpaid then you MUST indeed be dim witted as life is ALL about how much money you make and how much stuff you have to prove it! The fact that we now react to this tall poppy attitude with outrage rather than complacency is a good sign indeed!
