This is just my opinion, but Ive seen a lot of posts where people have to ask fellow members of this group not to criticize the size of their rats, and I think its a shame that there are people out there who feel its their business to get involved in how someone raises their rats. The rats in question are obviously very much loved, and I get the point that they may be overweight and that this poses health risks. I had two super squishy boys, SPG and Matt-Rat, who both died of congestive heart failure which it can be argued may not have happened had they been a more reasonable weight. But they were loved to pieces, spoiled you might say, and never wanted for anything especially love. They were also 2 1/2 and 1 1/2 years old respectively. Some rats are prone to obesity like some people are, and it is not necessarily down to the feeding of the owner whether a rat becomes overweight. Most people are on this page because they love their rats and this should be celebrated, not criticized. To those with squishy rats - love them, and cherish them. To those who would criticize - keep your comments in your pocket.
