This is kind of a mundane post for the holidays but we just made baked Bolognese and it included fresh kale in the recipe. I thought that I did not kale and was going to leave it out. But John said put some of it in and so I did and it was great. I remember it being bitter, but this was not. Now I will have to see if I like kale fresh and not wilted in a recipe such as this. I dont know why the recipe called it baked because the only baking that was done was to put the casserole with ground beef and pasta under the broiler with a panko and parmesan topping at the end. Great to expand my palate.
