This is kinda cute and I cant seem to shut off so yall have to suffer. So the heli lifted off. I was back on fb by that time, duh, and didnt think anymore of it. He makes a low pass and then another. Time for Fred to try to get on tv. I run out to the open area just north west of me with two hats and my turquoise shirt, frantically waving every time he came close. Im a pilot and I know what he is seeing. I spend my energy when I have a good shot at being seen. Besides, this area is a good spot for an emergency landing and a good pilot always is on the lookout for those so figure I have a decent chance at least. I do this for another ten minutes. He leaves, i hav sadz and I go back to FB. Damn, he is back. I run out. He is flying straight toward me from SM. I do my thing waving hats and yelling at the heli come to papa, come to papa. The neighbors just cant figure out what is going on. There he goes, he has finally snapped. Call the guys in the white coats. lol At a quarter mile, the pilot does a sharp tug back on the stick, loses about 30 kts, and starts an orbit around a spot, me I quit dancing and take a bow. Thanks Nat Geo. that was fun.
