This is long and there is no punchline: I remember how frightened - TopicsExpress

This is long and there is no punchline: I remember how frightened I was on September 11th, 2001 while listening to news on the radio and TV. Like the rest of the country, I felt violated that despicable acts of incredible magnitude could happen here. I feared for what was coming next. I felt sadness for the tragic losses that so many suffered. I was angry and wanted those perpetuated this terror to be held accountable for their actions. How have you changed as a result of that terrible day? I know that as I reflect on those events, I felt changed. I am grateful for the opportunity to remember what was important that day and every day. I need to love more, serve more, and be kinder to everyone. I need to be more grateful for my blessings. Good things and bad things will continue to happen. I need to Keep Calm and Carry On. How can one move forward in spite of events such as those acts of twelve years ago? Ask yourself, "Am I a better person today than I was yesterday?" Use that as a measuring stick for an exceptional life.
