This is mainly for people who dont like NuTrek, so if you cant handle the type of discussion this will probably lead to, then dont post: Was reading this and it reminded me of Trek. If we continue paying for crap, we will never get anything better than crap. Im sure there are many that like the new movies, but Ive met very few who think they are better. So why do we settle? Why do so many say some Trek is better than no Trek? Is it really worth the brands integrity to encourage poor story telling? This is what Bay had to say about Transformers: “They love to hate and I don’t care; let them hate,” he told MTV’s Josh Horowitz. “They’re still going to see the movie! I think it’s good to get a little tension. Very good.” Thats the attitude of Hollywood. Trek fans will still see NuTrek movies. I am guilty. Trek fans will still give them money no matter their objections and problems so why would Hollywood care? No one went into NuTrek thinking they would be getting any important awards. It was designed from the ground up as a popcorn movie but shouldnt we demand better?
