This is more than just a viral sensation. I dont care whos sick of it because it has done something amazing. ALS research has long been an underfunded cause, however, in the last week and a half this wacky challenge has raised over $15,000,000 for research. I have risen to the challenge presented to me by Tyzen Paley and now Im calling out my high profile radio industry friends. Jave Patterson, Ron Way, Dave Mencarelli, Melody Minx, and Nicole Slater - You have 24 hours to donate to ALS research, or take the ice bucket challenge, or take a page out of my book and do both. I know its hard to open up the old wallet, but its a hell of a lot easier that living with ALS. I am thankful for the wonderful life I have and if this can make a difference to someone suffering a fate I shudder to even imagine, then I think I can skip a few rounds at the bar this week and put my money to better use.
