This is my Grandmother, Lydia Knight McDonald, born Feb 21, 1884 died July 5, 1967 and my Grandfather, William Bill McDonald, Born Oct 28, 1882, died Sept 18, 1948. This picture must have been taken in the mid 1940s. Theyre standing on the porch of the house we lived in. Passing by the sugar mill on La 182, as you cross the small bridge, if you look to your right theres a large oak tree. Our house was on the side of that oak tree which was in the corner of our front yard. We were 3rd in a row of seven houses called The Little Quarters Not sure how to spell it in French so I wont try. I fell out of that oak tree so many times, I feel like I own it.
