This is my appeal to my brothers and sisters in the MNLF. It is an appeal that hopefully echoes the sentiments of those among us who sought solace and solutions in your struggle, particularly after you signed the Final Peace Agreement in 1996 and the Bangsa flocked to your leadership with renewed hopes of ending violence and sowing peace and prosperity in Mindanao. My appeal is simple and does not require you to abandon your cause. My appeal is for you to UNITE and speak in ONE voice so that you can better pursue your cause... so that you can better articulate your aspirations under the agreement you signed with the government. You have already considered the peaceful option for which many have benefited. Let not discontent lead you to destroy the gains of the past; instead let it spur you to work for more gains within the parameters of the peace that you have already embraced, and the peace that will ensue out of the talks with our brethren in the MILF. I am sure people will appreciate you more for this and earn you the goodwill that is very much needed for unity and progress in Mindanao. GOD who is ONE favors unity among his Ummah, and the Ummah that is wassatan should always thread the middle means of moderation, sobriety and patience.
