This is my current testimony with my new job. I had my fill of being taken advantage of at my most recent job. I prayed for guidance as I started to apply for jobs. After about a month I started to get call backs for interviews first was PGCPS for school nursing. I felt like it was an option I could RN full time and NP part time. I love public health!! I took off from work for the interview. The interview was bruttle with backbitting, middle aged women indeirectly attemtping to tear me down for being a NP. I posted about not feeling the interview and many of you told me to go with my gut so I did. I wrote them the day after the interview withdrawing my application. Three days later I received a call from HR at Childrens Hospital they wanted to interview me. They wanted me to come in right away (this would require me to miss more time off at my current job); I respectfully declined. So that you know I have always wanted to work in a Childrens Hospital clinic in my mind it is the best of both worlds. You get high acuity from chronically ill but stable children but in a 9 to 5 job. However, I felt strongly that if God wanted this for me it would happen without me forcing it. I told my fiance about all of this and that I was fasting and praying about it (he always supports me and turns down his plate without me asking when he knows I am fasting and prays with me. God blessed me with a praying man to be a husband thank ya Jesus!!). A week later I got another phone call it was Childrens again we would really like for you to come in. I informed them that I would love the opportunity to interview but not at the expense of my patients it could only be done on my days off. They agreed to work with my schedule. I was interviewed two weeks after the initial contact, offered the job on the spot, huge pay increase that I didnt ask or pray for, private office space, private exam rooms, and great benefits. I say all of this to say what God has for you is for you. When He makes a way you wont have any way to take the credit or any doubt that He moved mountains for you. I issued 60 days notice after my job interview to which my current job began to torture me (intentionally overloading my schedule, doubling up my call requirement, etc,). I stood my ground and came to work everyday that I had left scheduled to work despite the fact that I had unused PTO. They know I am Christian and I didnt want to negate my witness. The unused PTO with my current job they had a choice of whether they would pay it out or keep it because I hadnt completed my full year. I was not entitled to a pay out for the unused portion. They threw me a going away party on Thursday and issued me a notice in writing that my PTO would be paid out in two weeks!!! #WontHedoit #LetGodfightyourbattles
