This is my dear friend Kelly Schoppa. He recorded this song and since he and George Strait were friends and playing a show together he introduced the song to George who made it a national hit. It is with a heavy heart I post this. Kelly and I have been out of touch for the past couple of years. Today I decided to go online to see if he was playing anywhere close. There I learned that Kelly past away last November 27and his funeral was December 3. He had lung cancer that spread to his brain. I have been in shock all day. He was an awesome guitarist and singer and a really wonderful man. Goodbye my friend. I will NEVER forget you.
