This is my earning report on oDesk for this year. I hope, the newbies will find some inspiration from this. Heres a few things that I learned during my journey on oDesk as a freelancer. 1. Never stop learning. The world is changing too fast and you need to keep pace with it. Learn daily, DAILY, no excuse. 2. Always read the job description carefully and write application letter that is exclusively tailored for the specific job. Never SPAM. 3. Dont promise to do anything that is beyond your abilities. 4. Never cheat/lie with your client. Be honest, no matter what. 5. Learn some manners please. Bangladeshi freelancers, unfortunately, lack manners in most cases. 6. Stop asking people for help. The time you waste on asking people for help could be used to learn something new. Its you who will make or break your life, no one else is responsible. 7. Dont work for cheap. Selling yourself short will never help your career. And yes, please, for freelancings sake, learn to write and speak English properly. Its not that difficult. Happy freelancing, everyone.
