This is my favorite picture of the two of us. I think I am going to get this one printed and framed. I like to think that Zanny had a wonderful life....hiking, camping, traveling, and of course, THE PARK!!!!! She went from a dumped off puppy to a beloved member of our family. You could not have asked for a better friend and companion. She was supposed to go to a specialist of internal medicine, but just couldnt make it. She had something going on with her lungs/chest and had a very hard time breathing and eating. I think she made up her mind earlier last week that she was giving up, she wouldnt eat or drink much of anything. Mentally she was alert and sharp, physically she was weakening and you could see the frustration on her face because she couldnt do what she used to. I am honored to have 11 1/2 years given to me and Tracey so we could enjoy her!!! Smart as a whip and loved almost everyone who came up to her. You could almost see her smile whenever we met folks walking their dogs at the park and their dogs and her got to sniff each other. I also loved the way she would sit on the passenger side of my truck and look out the window. She loved to gawk at everything!!!One thing that ALWAYS broke out a grin on my face was when I came home from work. She would run along the yard when I was coming down our road and be right there barking with joy to see her momma when I parked my truck and got out!!!!! We also got silly and I would dance to music, holler to her come on Zanny, sing.... She would get excited and bark and jump around with me!!!! These are the memories I am holding close to my heart!!!!! Many more memories of other things we did together. No sadness, just gladness that she entered our lives and made me a better person by showing how to give love deeply. You were a special little girl, Zander Briggs. Love you always and forever. R.I.P.
