This is my favourite song, I was on top of world once upon a time.. Then Department Housing moved a neighbour from hell next door. 4 years I put up with abuse, and threats. I complained to whoever would listen, got a court order. On my wedding anniversary 20th Nov 2009 the neighbour from hell entered my yard and punched hubby Terry in the face. I turned to a Newcastle morning radio DJ, asking for help. I contacted Greg Piper Lord Mayor at that time. Lake Macquarie Police officers had enough decided enough was enough and stood by Terry and I gave us support.. We went back to court and got a stronger AVO, Department Of Housing was told to move neighbour from hell. Terry I applied for victims of support, he had scares of abuse, my daughter Sam and I didnt ours was emotional but all of us needed closure. Yesterday Terry received a letter NSW Justice Service has granted Terry a payment of $6,500 out of a sum $7, 000. Reading the letter I cried it brought back memories. The fight of us standing tall proud was worth it in the end....
