Steve Chappell, head greenkeeper at this year’s Ryder Cup venue, and international turf expert Jerad Minnick, have just been announced as presenters at the event being hosted by talkSPORT’s Mark Saggers. Jerad Minnick, an international grass, athletic field advisor and educator, will be flying over from the US to take part in the conference. His presentation, entitled ‘Think Differently’, will focus on how grass fields can take a higher use of sport, as long as “grass field managers accept the challenge of increased use and embrace the changes in maintaining fields under these demands”. He was the former director of field maintenance for the 22-field, 160-acre Maryland SoccerPlex near Washington DC, and also at Major League soccer’s Sporting Kansas City.
