This is my song in 1997 I was spending some time with my father when he delivered yachts for a living. My sister Cayla Colvin and i went through a tragic event. A Hurricane we docked in pastagula mississippi after the storm. While in the storm we rescued a boat that ran aground when we docked there we were the only 2 boats to make it out alive. I remember the panic I remember the sway of the boat and how it rocked side to side as if it would flip, I remember the calmness of the eye of the storm and how quickly it changed when we got out. I remember furniture falling on me. I remember my sister racing to help me. Through it all I remember holding my sister and her holding me and praying together praying to make it home safely. My dad was the one who steered us to safety. As we left the dock in Mississippi my dad let me drive down that ol muddy Mississippi river jamming out to some bad company and this is one of the songs that stuck forever. Moral of my story life is to short to be angry all the time, you are never promised tomorrow neither was we that day. Sometimes you just have to forgive and forget and be thankful for the things life has given you appreciate every bit of it because one day it will all be gone in the blink of an eye. Never be quick to judge or point fingers you dont know what Ive been through nor do you know what others have been through. Some things leave scars on people impressions that they will always carry with them. Smile and appreciate them bc with every act of kindness another wound heals in there soul.
