This is my take on an acoustic 1 string recycled Diddley Bow. Made with a large tomatoe tin, any piece of timber for a neck, a machine head for tuning..could use any thing here, and a guitar string, you also could use half millimeter tie wire or any sort of wire..a couple of feet, a chop stick to tap the string with and anything from a glass bottle to a piece of heavy steel for a slide..they are round the world in the guise of a bunch of strange names...BUT, out of the Congo, with their (the people) sense of rhythm, music etc, this instrument is an awesome thing !!! easy to make, we sell them and also do workshops with kids, (young ones and older ones !!)
