Odd case in the Magistrates court today (Wed) when a youngish woman appeared ( I shant give her name) having been detained wearing no clothes in public, with no possessions or living accommodation...she was bound over for one month on good behaviour subject to accepting help from the Probation Service who are to negotiate for the Social Security Department to make funds available immediately....but nobody seemed to have responsibility for her welfare and neither mental health services nor social services seemed to want to accept her and she was not accepted at the Shelter either...what is going on in Jersey in 2014? Even Magistrate Shaw seemed reluctant to be getting involved and the case was dealt with very quickly...puzzling.
