This is my tribute to second baseman Daniel Murphy of the NY Mets - for doing the right thing and taking his union negotiated 3 days of maternity leave, missing the first 2 games of the season, to be with his wife during the birth of his first child. It is also a condemnation to the NY media and a certain CBS Sports Network personality who bashed Mr Murphy for doing it. Anyone who suggests his wife get a C-section before the season starts because he needs to be at opening day is not the kind of sports analyst I want to listen to. Im fact, Im done listening to ANY sports analysts - TV or radio. What the heck do they know anyway?
