This is not great SiFi, but the idea is growing on me. The more I understand my own nature and watch the behavior of the human race, the more I become pessimistic about our chances of existing in the long term. Sad because I used to be an optimist. But one thing is clear - whether by accident or deliberately - we will create greater sentient beings with the best of human nature and the physical robustness to travel the immense distances of space. In the end, its the nature of evolution and we are one more step in the the celestial chain that creates intelligence and adventure out of nothing but the raw laws of physics.
