However, the main reason I chose this place while visiting Santa Rosa was because I had a mad craving for bangers and mash, having lived in London. They had it on the menu so I made a special trek there from my hotel and I ordered it. It looked nice but upon tasting it I came to the sad realization that these were not true bangers but rather Johnsonville brats disguised as my precious objects of desire. I cook a lot of brats at home. I love them and lived in the Midwest for a while where we made them a lot. I know the distinct taste well. If they had served brats and mash that would be fine and honest but bangers have a very different flavor, texture, and I was really disappointed. I also happen to love a good onion gravy made with Bovril. It creates a very dark gravy that is savory and perfect with bangers. This had sauteed onions over the sausages and the brown gravy was just plain and served over the mash. I thought the prices were fair for the area and it wasnt horrible but where can I find REAL bangers to satisfy my craving? Id probably come back to this place again and try the Shepherds Pie or the Pasty but never again will I buy from them fools bangers.... My boyfriend ordered the curried chips with his meal and those were incredible. Ill have those on the side, please.
