Status Update By Morgan Gibbs So I know my dad has already posted something, but because Ive been asked this question several times this week I thought I would share this .... Yes, my parents home (J Reed Anderson Karla L. Patch-Anderson ) of 27 years burned this last week. My brother (Jed Anderson) was the only one home at the time and made it out with the clothes on his back and one of the dogs. They are all safe, but all was lost expect a few albums and mementos we dug from the rubble. Yes, my mom and dad have been living and renting (which many of you have learned is cheaper then moteling it) a home out of state, BUT this was still home - they came home at least once a month maybe more sometimes. No, insurance will not be covering it - there was none too factors were against it ... indoor wood stove and too far from town, yadi - yadi :( My family is not one to ask for charity, but Im putting this out there so people know ... But in this time of need, my family needs help. We were raised with the notion to help those whenever/wherever we can and my parents would give you the shirt of their back even if they had nothing. Im asking for your help for them. My brother not only has nowhere to call home now, but no clothes and my parents no longer have a home to come home too. And I know the Holidays are always tight for everyone, but even if you have some extra clothes are a little spare cash (dont even like asking for that :( ) it may help - OR even a friendly word to help them and the rest of us through this. I want to thank you all again for the Love and Support youve shared with us. And the help that some of you have already sent our way. Its still hard to believe its just gone, but Im so thankful to have a family like I do and that theyre all safe and okay and also for a wonderful support system!
