This is one of the most amazing pieces of art Ive seen in a long time: Sylvan Chapel by Peter Krsko from Washington DC. Its incredible. He has constructed a partial chapel in a grove of evergreens with pieces of lathe that form a suggestions of arches, walls, and ceiling. But the holiness it points to is of the trees themselves. Industrially-processed bits of wood connected (through non-invasive means like straps and balance) to show us, in a way we understand, the importance, beauty, and, again, holiness of the trees themselves. Amazing. If you can go see it in the next week, you owe it to yourself to see it (and many of the other great pieces at the the Farm/Art DTour in Reedsburg, WI).
