This is one of the results of our litigious society. Tort reform may be a way to curtail spurious claims like this that cause enourmous amounts of money to flow back and forth through our court systems and legal firms. I in no way blame this little girl who does indeed need help from others in dealing with her injuries and feel KFC and their parent companie(s) have handled it properly and with compassion. This event will likely end up in some kind of court/legal situation which is a shame as the important factor is the health and well being of this girl and not the improprieties of what her grandmother may or may not have done. Though this has NOT resulted as of yet in a legal battle, and I expect KFC will likely NOT wish to press charges (it looks better for them from a public relations standpoint if they do NOT) this needs to be a wake up call about frivolous and/or untrue accusations. Ill continue to monitor this situation to see what ramifications (if any) this has as far as false claims of wrongdoing.
