This is our Precious and Very Special little Daisy. ( She has no eyes) We drove to Klerksdorp to collect her after her owners wanted her to be Put down, as they didn’t want a blind dog. Daisy was only 2 at the time, and her previous owners Had left her with her eye hanging out of its socket for 3 days before taking her to be put down. With love, patience, understanding and kindness, this little puggie is truly the most remarkable Little doggie. It is because of Daisy, and her amazing courage that I decided to try and help the Pugs that need helping and rescuing, so I assist with Fund Raising. I am an animal lover, but chose the PUG to try and help to make a difference. Unfortunately I have limited time that I am able to give, so instead of trying to help ALL, I do what I can for the PUG. The reason for my post is that unfortunately over the past week, there has been a lot of Attention directed at Animal Welfare and the “Abuse” of NPOs etc whereby funds are not going to the animals.. Whilst I am certain there are a lot of these despicable Shelters, there are also those Shelters, Whereby the Animals are Well looked after, given food and shelter and vetinary care etc. Unfortunately, instead of this allegation being investigated in an organised and well researched manner it has been launched on the internet in a blanket style approach, and what is happening is the same as a Veld Fire, Easy to Start, but nearly Impossible to Control. I sincerely hope, that everybody who has contributed to this Unfortunate Situation, carefully thought about what they were saying, and understood what their actions could result in. If the intention was to close down Animal Shelters, or make it Impossible for them to continue, then I think there is a good chance you will get your wish. Unfortunately the ball is already in play. Where will all the dogs go, if one shelter after the next closes? From my side, it is such a Pity that all the so called Animal Lovers etc didn’t unite and Direct their enthusiasm and energy into rather closing down the Puppy Mills which are just getting worse. The poor little victims of the Puppy Mills and Back Yard Breeders etc won’t have a place to go, when they are no longer a puppy, other than the SPCA. So their little lives will be even shorter and just as miserable. If people continue with their irresponsible allegations and accusations towards Animal Shelters, just know, that you are also hurting the good ones. Some despicable Animal Welfare people may suffer as a result of this action that has been started, and deservedly so, but I can Guarantee you, ( the people who have started this), that it will be the animal that is going to pay the price, as unfortunately the good ones will also be tarred with the same brush. I hope you are then prepared to take Responsibility and Accountability for your actions,. You know who you are. I agree that Animal Welfare Frauds need to be exposed, but it needs to be done in a constructive manner. So, be careful what you wish for, you may just get it, and then you will have to live with your conscience. I do not want the blood of any poor unfortunate animal on my hands . Please think before you just say, because once it is out there, it is out there. THANKFULLY, THE ORIGINAL POST AIMED AT THE NPOs, HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM FACE BOOK . Please Feel Free to Delete my Post, but, it was written out of concern, disappointment, and a great deal of anger.
