This is purely a speculative email to see if anyone would be interested in a Canyon Ultimate CF SLX frame. (Large Size) This is the scenario..... I noticed on a forum that Canyon CF SLX frames are susceptable to a fault on where the seat tube meets the frame. Had a look on my frame and it had a slight crack. Upon inspection its on the surface, but I wrote to Canyon and to cut a long story short, they agreed a replacement under warranty. I enclose some photos of the frame and have had a quote to get it repaired at £150 from Carbon Bikes Technics in Derby. I m not even sure it needs repairing and the new frame i have has come with a longer, more protective seat clamp, which would hide and secure the area of the crack. On some of the photos Ive enclosed you can see its just a surface crack as there is not evidence of it internally. What I have is the headset and a frame. Could be a nice project for someone to get a top framed bike on a budget. Any interest? at £300
