This is really a story of three rescues and a very tolerant Calico. In November of 2011 after 16 wonderful years I lost my sweet buddy Maverick (black cat) and it was just Cassie (9 year old calico) and me left. Cassie was lonely and I decided to adopt another black cat. As sad as this sounds they are the hardest and usually last to be adopted. On the 23rd of December I went to the local shelter and my best friend Jackie surprised me and met me there. We looked at the cages and it was heartbreaking, I wanted them all. Then Jackie spotted the little tiny black cat in the back of the cage. She was so scared and looked so sad. Jackie was the first to hold her then handed her over to me. I named her Maddy.
