This is scary! We have been a country that over the years has leaned toward compassion over logic. Compassion is good, especially, when we have to deal with innocent children being illegally sent here by parents willing to risk their childs life to hopefully bring them access to our country. But now we have gang members organizing raids and testing our borders. Being a racist is one thing, but enforcing our borders is national security, not racism. Its important we know each and every person coming into this country. Additionally, as sad as it is, we need to take care of our own country before we can take care of another. So much of the American budget is going to wind up taking care of the youth crossing illegally, fighting gang violence, and giving aid to the millions of poor who make it across. Nearly every country strictly enforces their borders. I would imagine its because its important to do so. Mexico realizes how weak we are when it comes to enforcement and how much it benefits the Mexican economy. Im scared because I feel like its too late to do anything about it anymore.
